Meet Ester!

Ester is a member of the PaleoMIX team at the University of Tartu. She is an archaeochemist and works simultaneously in both the Department of Archaeology and the Chair of Analytical Chemistry. Ester’s main research field is biomolecular archaeology with focus on organic residue analysis, which she uses to reconstruct ancient diet and health. In addition, she has conducted migration studies based on isotope analysis, as well as artefact provenance and use reconstructions.
